Dear Sir,

I own a 1998 Grand Cherokee Jeep that gave me some considerable grief on a recent trip from Bendigo, in Victoria, to North Glenelg. 

As we were only to be in Adelaide for 5 days, I needed to get some competent service “almost immediately”, and nobody was prepared to “stretch the string”.

Not until I phoned, and pleaded with your employee, Martin Kernick, who explained that he was totally committed, but he would do whatever he could.

I delivered the vehicle, and sat in hopeful wait. 

Initially the diagnosis indicated that all systems were in order, and no contributing defects could be found. Thankfully, he was dogged, and delved further.

He refrained from the expensive exercise of removing the tank in search of a most unlikely impediment in the line, and came up with the possibility of a faulty crank angle sensor.

After some diligent sourcing in Melbourne, the part was replaced, the account was paid, and I was back on the road in time to return to Bendigo.

The car came home without a murmur.

Now the reason for this correspondence is that my mechanic has searched for that fault over the past two years – without success, and I would like to commend, and sincerely thank Martin, and your organization, for “taking that extra step” in helping a genuine traveler in distress. I too have a service business, and I have a motto of “keeping the traveler traveling”, and this truly was Karma coming home in return.
